Katharina (Kat) McNaughton has returned to the real estate profession and will serve the area under the Robson Valley Real Estate banner.

McNaughton previously held a real estate license and briefly moved to McBride around 15 years ago, but now sees the timing was not right for her.

“I was on a waiting list for photography school on the island,” McNaughton said. “A few months later, I was accepted. It was my passion so I left to pursue it.

Now, a decade and a half later, she feels like she brings a lot more to the table as an agent.

McNaughton holds a degree in business and marketing. She ran her own photography business, worked as a mortgage lender, in the construction and building industry, and at the local building inspector’s office. These experiences, combined with her work and volunteer involvement in the communities of McBride and Dunster, have put her in a good position to resume her career.

“I have a lot to offer to help people buy and sell homes,” McNaughton said. “I feel like I’m well connected through my experiences and my family.”

McNaughton’s family played a key role in his transition to a focused career. In doing so, she takes time away from some of her many other professional and volunteer commitments, allowing her more time for her family.

“It was not a decision I took lightly,” McNaughton said. “It’s a big commitment and it’s expensive. I had so many different commitments that I didn’t feel like I could give 100% on one thing. I drop a lot of other goals and refocus on my family.

She chose to work for RE/MAX CORE Realty in Prince George because of the positive and welcoming energy she felt during preliminary interactions with their staff.

McNaughton has opened an office in McBride to meet with clients and can be reached at 250-569-7401.
